Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and well-known comedians. The comedian has appeared seen on QI together as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011, after appearing in small parts on several Irish television shows and British shows since the year 2009. After 2012 she had been being featured in sketch comedy programs, sitcoms, and other similar programs. After she received an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, she became a regular on various panels, and is becoming a mainstay. Between 2016 and 2017, she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats' team, and also a part-time participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She was the winner of the So You Believe You're Funny Award twice. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Her father Brian was a veterinarian for horses who died by suicide when she was just three years old. However, she did not learn the cause of death until she was 13 years old. To honor her father, she took the stage name Bea and in 2017, she wrote an article on suicides in the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were brought up in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a teacher and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. Their family was in love with racing and horses. Bea was initially an official guide for tourists at Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her true passion was performing and not racing.
