Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in television dramas as early as the age of 16. She was praised for her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects through the years. The projects include British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
