John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has been able to touch many through his music. Most of his songs have roots in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in affection with Colorado and then settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems for his adopted state have attracted many people to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver was by far one of the most popular performers who embodies Colorado. In 2011 Denver was named the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for a lot of people across the globe. When you encounter people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders, and they tell them "I am Colorado" and they say "I am from Colorado" and they instantly respond with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads is Denver's only Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist after working in small Folk Music Groups. The song was written with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the song in the name of Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the song's potential after hearing it first. Following the performance in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
